Our Team
Kids Academy Childcare at The Stables Day Nursery and Preschool in Lower Whitley Warrington are proud and dedicated to providing the best quality childcare for children aged 0-5 years.

Staff Training and Development
The childcare team are dedicated to providing the highest quality childcare through regular meetings, appraisals, reviews and awards we ensure our staff are expertly trained in all areas concerning child development and welfare. Our team consists of a range of qualifications from degree and NVQ level 4 through to the various childcare training certificates such as BTec, NNEB and NVQ’s level 2 & 3. Our staff have monthly appraisals to maintain high standards of care.

We currently employ 14 full and part time staff, ensuring we comply with the Ofsted standards. All staff have been cleared by the criminal records bureau and currently hold enhanced disclosure checks.

Awards
We gained the Investors in People Award in December 2004 and have since also achieved the Staff Development & Training award from Business Link Cheshire and Warrington. In December 2008 we were delighted to receive a “Good” rating with areas of “Outstanding” from our combined Ofsted inspection.

Police Checks
All our team are vetted by the CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) and are monitored and updated annually.

Awards
Kids Academy Childcare are pleased to have gained the prestigious Investors in People Award, the Two Ticks Award for disability awareness and have won the Warrington Business of the year awards for Staff Training and Development.

Maggie Warburton – Nursery Manager

In 1996 I gained my NNEB at Mid Cheshire College. I then began full time employment at a local nursery as a nursery nurse where my duties included providing activities and caring for babies. In 1997 I moved nurseries to become Head of the Toddler Room and within two years was promoted to assistant deputy manager.

In January 2001 I joined The Laurels Nursery School as Assistant Deputy Manager and I stayed in this position for 12 months until I moved to The Stables Day Nursery and Preschool as Nursery Manager. In January 2004 I transferred to one of our other Kids Academy Nurseries – The Willows , here I was employed as Nursery Manager and was responsible for the day to day running of the nursery.

In March 2005 I returned back to The Stables Day Nursery and Preschool as Nursery Manager.

I currently hold certificates in First Aid, Makaton, SENCO, Nursery Management, Child Protection and Birth to Three. I also gained my NVQ level 4 in Early Years and Management in 2005 at Priestley College.
