Helpful Information For Parents

Welcome to our Kids Academy Childcare parenting information files, Parents are the first educators of their young children, the aim of each Kids Academy day nursery and preschool is to support their essential work. We will:

• make all new parents aware of the Kids Academy childcare day nursery and preschool policies and procedures
• encourage parents on an individual basis to play an active part in the day nursery and preschool
• ensure that the parents are informed on a regular basis about their child’s progress
• ensure that all parents have opportunities to contribute from their own skills, knowledge and interests to the activities
• involve parents in shared record keeping about their own child, either formally or informally
• welcome the contributions of parents, whatever form these may take
• make known to all parents the systems for registering queries, complaints or suggestions
• provide opportunities for parents to learn about the Kids Academy childcare day nursery and preschool curriculum and about
  young children’s learning, in nursery, preschool and at home
• keep parents informed about “the day nursery and preschool goings on” in the form of a regular newsletters and by having a parents’ notice board
