Our Team
Kids Academy Childcare at Kalgarth Grange Day Nursery and Preschool in Woolston Warrington staff are proud and dedicated to providing the best quality childcare for children aged 0-5 years.

We currently employ 30 staff of which 80% are qualified and 20% unqualified of whom are working towards a certificate in childcare at a local college. The setting is managed by Katie Wright a highly qualified Manager and assisted by an enthusiastic Deputy Manager Leanne Rudge.

At Kalgarth Grange Day Nursery and Preschool we hold regular staff/team meetings and attend regular in-house and external training to update our knowledge on all childcare issues.

Staff Training and Development
Our staff have appraisals twice yearly and reviews to maintain high standards of care.

All staff have individual mapped out training plans and are assisted in reaching their full potential within their carer, they have access to higher qualifications. Kalgarth Grange Day Nursery and Preschool currently have 2 members of staff working towards their Early Years Professional Status which they hope to achieve by 2012.

Police Checks
All our team are vetted by the CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) and are monitored and updated annually.

Award Winning Childcare
We are pleased to have gained the prestigious Investors in People Award, the Two Ticks Award for disability awareness and have won the Warrington Business of the year awards for Staff Training and Development.

Kalgarth Grange Day Nursery and Preschool are pleased that we have gained the prestigious Investors in People Award and recently gained the “Staff Development and Training” award from Business Link Cheshire and Warrington.

Katie Wright – Nursery Manager

After completing my NVQ2 at collage, I joined Kids Academy Hobson’s day nursery and preschool in 2004 as a nursery nurse.

I was very keen to carry on with my education so I soon began my NVQ 3 in child care. I continued to work with Kids Academy & was eager to work my way up within the company. After just over a year I was promoted to Head of Room. Which I thoroughly enjoyed I also began another NVQ in Team Leadership I completed this & was then promoted to 3rd in Charge. When a promotion became available at The Stables nursery school, I then moved over there to Head the Early Learners room & also became the Assistant Manager, in the mean time I had also enrolled on another NVQ in Customer Service.

I have just recently joined the Kalgarth Grange team, which I am really enjoying. I am also looking into additional courses that I can do to further myself in child care. I thoroughly enjoy working for Kids Academy, so many opportunities are offered & the chance to further myself is always available.
