To make the most of the beautiful weather and the great out doors we have listed below a variety of activities that you can carry out with your children in doors and out.
Painting activities
Painting activities can be carried out in a variety of fun and exciting ways with your children from hand, feet and finger painting to painting with different size brushes, even every day paint brushes that you find in the garden shed.
Other types of painting are:
- Blow painting: Using a straw and blow runny paint over your paper
- Dribble painting: Using old washing up containers, spray bottles or any squeezy container and being creative, however we would recommend carrying this out with plenty of space
- Butterfly painting: Folding a piece of paper in half and using a variety of paints to make your picture and then folding it back to create an identical picture on the other side.
- String painting: Dipping a piece of string into your pot and moving it around your paper
- Potato pictures: Cutting out different shapes upon your potato and printing them using different colours and textures.
- Leaf printing: Explore the outdoors and collecting different size and colour leaves to print with.
- Spaghetti & pasta pictures: Using different dried pasta shapes to create your own little collage and painting them a variety of colours
