Administrator
Description of Role
To assist the manager in all aspects of nursery administration i.e. letters, typing, answering telephone calls,filing etc
Experience
Experience of working with computers and knowledge of word processing programmes including excel.
Qualifications and Training
Working towards or gained a NVQ in Administration.
Childcare Practitioner
Description of Role
To create a stimulating, safe and caring environment for children using the Nursery’s child care facilities.
Experience
Direct experience of working in a childcare setting.
Qualifications and Training
Working towards or gained NVQ 2/3 Early Years and Childcare / NNEB or equivalent.
3rd in Charge
Description of Role
To provide a stimulating caring and safe environment for the children in your care. To show leadership skills to your team, leading by example and maintaining high standards of practice and care within setting. To plan and implement daily activities and routines that meet the needs and stages of development, appropriate to the age of the children together with your co-workers.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years experience working as a head of room or senior nursery nurse within a childcare setting.
Qualifications and Training
Must hold NVQ 3/NNEB qualifications or equivalent, a current first aid certificate and have a good understanding of children’s early learning goals as stated in Foundation stage set by the government.
Assistant Manager
Description of Role

Nursery Manager
Description of Role
To provide a full day care facility for children aged from birth to five years, ensuring compliance with Ofsted Full Day Care Standards and requirements for registration. To be responsible for the running of the nursery on a day to day basis, adhering to all the nursery’s policies and procedures at all times.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience and two years relevant supervisory experience working in a day care setting.
Qualifications and Training
NNEB, NVQ 3, BTEC or equivalent.
Senior Practitioner
Description of Role

To plan and implement daily activities and routines that meet the needs and stages of development, appropriate to the age of the children together with your co-workers.
Experience
1 – 2 years nursery nurse experience working with peers and subordinates in a child care setting
